I have lost all my documents for tax year 2013. Where should I go or how to get a copy of my documents?
The first step that you need to do is call and ask your tax office if they have a copy of your documents. If they don’t have it, you can go to IRS.gov and request a copy of the transcript for that year. When you are on the IRS website, type transcript, click request transcript and you can request via mail. IRS will mail it at the address they have on file. You will receive it in 5 to 10 calendar days.
